Understanding our survival responses

We can all go into FIGHT, FLIGHT, FAWN, or FREEZE – and please know these are HARD-WIRED into us.

There’s no judgement here, because each of these survival responses has a “helpful” side and an “unhelpful” side.

In other words, they’re neither good nor bad – they’re simply where we ALL go when we’re stressed, and we don’t get to choose which one!

In our experience, while we can all move through all four, most of us have TWO main survival responses.

You might go to ‘fawn’ with strangers, but ‘fight’ with friends or family.

When faced with acute stress or trauma we will likely fall within one (or more) of these
